Product Description With this awesome, air-powered dart blaster, a “long shot” is a good thing! Measuring three feet long, this blaster is the longest NERF blaster yet and fires up to 35 feet. Attach the barrel extension for long-range targeting and use the tactical rails and flip-up sight to help you zero-in on targets near and far. Even when your target is on the move, you never have to worry about ammo, since your blaster can store two quick-reload clips! (One clip is included.) So grab your gear, steel your nerves and prepare to “go long”! Ages 6 and up.

Better than the Longshot January 31, 2010 Scott Wilke (Buckeye, AZ USA) 28 out of 31 found this review helpful
This is a great weapon. It's lighter, sleeker, and far less cumbersome than it's Longshot brother. I find it odd that people claim the Longshot's performance out of box is so great, because I've never gotten a great performance from mine. (I bought mine online before they even hit stores though so maybe I got one from a bad batch.) That being said, I was actually very impressed with the Long Strike's range and accuracy. The barrel extension doesn't do much to help...but it looks cool. Without the extension this is probably my favorite Nerf rifle now. I'm not a modder (I have young nieces and nephews and they don't really need to be playing with super-powered Nerf guns.) so for me this gun is perfect just the way it is. The flip up sight is more just for looks than anything and the clip storage in the stock is a lot more efficient than the one on the Longshot.
All in all, I'd say this is the best Nerf rifle on the market right now. There are probably die-hard Nerf modders out there who will disagree with me. But for the rest of us who aren't looking to mod anything...I would highly recommend buying this one over either the Recon or the Longshot. Then again, if you have the money, buy all three.
Great Gun! June 15, 2010 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Overall, its a really good gun. It's far lighter and sleeker then the longshot. It starts jamming after about two hours which I can help with. When you cock it back, open the jam door and push the dart back about two centimeters. If you do this every time you cock it, you wont run into any problems.
Big kids like nerf too April 15, 2010 M. Wade 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Last November, I bought a bunch of Nerf Mavericks for a friends 21st birthday, between Nerf hide-and-go-seek and Nerf roulette it was a huge success. Since then we have had spontaneous Nerf wars break out, and many of us have gotten other Nerf guns and the fun has continued. As a result I have tested every nerf gun available, this is by far my favorite (especially when coupled with the Clip from the Nerf N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blaster - Blue). It's bigger and heavier, so it might not be the best choice for smaller kids, as for bigger kids I highly recommend it. Very accurate (with or without the extra barrel) and I don't have any problems with jamming... Be sure to buy more clips and more darts and have fun! long shot killer August 10, 2010 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this thing is of the chain it has a 25f shooting range and the holder can hold 8 bullets. its also cool to use a a pretend grenade launcher by clipping the tip of. over all its a good toy but i should have a granade launcher accesory with but thats my opinion. i would get it if i were you!!
Better than the Longshot! 2nd best Nerf gun ever made! February 16, 2010 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was impressed with this Nerf Sniper. It is a lot better than the longshot. I will now do a comparison with the longstrike and the longshot. Distance= Longstrike goes farther. Accuracy= Longstrike is more accurate. Longstrike's stock holds two clips instead of one in the longshot. Longstrike is more smoother as in DOESN'T EAT UP YOUR DARTS AND DOESN'T GET JAMMED. Longshot is a lot more heavier. You can easily carry the longstrike around. O and the longstrike looks a lot cooler. This is the 2nd best Nerf gun ever made behind the firefly. Keep it up Nerf!
